    Idaho / Montana Rockies

I can leave any day, one of the perks of being a bum. If in the unlikely chance Hoodoo pass is open, We'll go up through there and meet you guys somewhere. But most likely we'll drive up towards Spokompton/CdA (h/t Cpt. Chaos) the day before and crash in the rig.

How have you used your D-Rings???

We use D-rings at least weekly around the cabin in addition to the helping stranded folks who venture up here in winter; rigging felled/fallen trees, small stump pulling from land clearing, a bridle/gambrel for livestock and game processing, an impromptu hoist for beams.... All kinds of handy uses.

The Elk City Wagon Road and Pilot Knob Lookout, Idaho

That's the Magruder run, but you're not getting on 468 until the end of July, unless you have a sled or tracks on your utv. It's open to the hot springs, and just a few miles past. We do the run several times as the snow-fire restrictions allow; anyone who wants to roll the Magruder and/or Lolo...

The Elk City Wagon Road and Pilot Knob Lookout, Idaho

Nice! FOR sure! I cruised up from the Newsome Cr end, about 2 weeks ago, but the flooding was pretty bad. I'm guessing SallyAnngoing up to Clearwater was repaired after the big washout mid May.

    Idaho / Montana Rockies

I can still see snow in the high country from my cabin. I'm at 3500. I've driven up past 4300 where there are no washouts and on the south face trails. A local bush pilot flew over the North Fork Ranger district last week and Hoodoo Pass (rd 250) is still 6 ft deep on both sides for 1-2 miles...

Inland NW: Meet Eat Greet and Sleep (Pend Oreille County Park) - 06/02/2018

is anyone bringing their dog? I have a very friendly 4 yr old fat yellow lab who just lost his girl two weeks ago and could use some k9 interaction. I can just the same leave him with the rest of the crew here at the cabin to help reduce codependency on me.

Inland NW: Meet Eat Greet and Sleep (Pend Oreille County Park) - 06/02/2018

Per our 5/20 telecon, I'll be able to bring my little stereo cooler/solar generator with small PV panel instead of pics as we discussed. It's lived on my ATV for close to three years, so it's not pretty, but has taken several flying rolls into the woods and still cranking. I'm certainly no...

Inland NW: Meet Eat Greet and Sleep (Pend Oreille County Park) - 06/02/2018

I thought I RSVPd a ways back, it keeps throwing me in a vicious circle; says I'm good to go, but I don't see my thumbnail show up in the cool kids group. Ill try again tomorrow. I'll be the Cousin Eddie rolling in, I guess. Thanks for the heads up on the alt ham channel, I'll program it in on...

Inland NW: Meet Eat Greet and Sleep (Pend Oreille County Park) - 06/02/2018

I'll be there with bells on. Not sure what rig yet, I can be there any time if you need help setting up, Steve. It looks like 5 hrs going into WA and 6 going up 95 towards CdA and North, anyone know of a reason to not go through Spokane, e.g. construction?

Inland Northwest Conference Call - 06/17/2018

HEY Kyle, I went about it all wrong the last few meetings as well. Steve was gracious enough to clarify that you just need to dial the phone number then there's a prompt to enter the access code, Both which Steve has provided at the beginning if this thread. Logging in on your computer is...

    General Grabber AT2

I've had Grabbers on a JK for three years and drive mostly tire-eating bull rock, they still look brand new and handle rotten snow well. When my Toyo Extremes wear out on the other JK, I'll slap Grabbers on her too.

    NF 500 The Lolo Motorway

Chances are pretty slim you're going to get farther than Canyon Junction in May; MAYBE Pete Forks CG. I can usually get up to Rocky Ridge Lake by mid June in easy winters. This year is an average winter with 126%of average snowpack. I live five miles from the Lolo Creek CG, and while I can get...

    Tuff stuff products

I've had their rear bumper, swing away tire carrier and gas can holders on one of my JK's for three winters now. They have held up really well under a ton of abuse.

What do you consider a "trail?"

My back property line is the Clearwater Nat'l Forest, and live on a forest road. Up to my cabin, a 5th wheel can pass; after, you better have a chainsaw and ATV/UTV. I use forest road and trail as a definition in describing routes to folks. The Magruder Corridor is nothing but a forest road...

    SVO ....Small Vehicle Overlanding

Anyone added/upgraded front recovery points on an older Escape? My primary rigs are my Jeeps, but alas, I had to yank a Tundra last week down in civilization with the Rustwagon. I carry all the recovery basics, and wound up wrapping my recovery straps on the "T" of the frame in front; I don't...
