Thanks for the suggestions all. We ended up moving our trip back until this week. Planning to first head up the coast for a couple days and then head to central-eastern Oregon for some warmer weather.
Trying to get some ideas for a week long trip to Oregon, Idaho, and/or Northern California (from California) for this April. I'm worried a lot of places of interest will still have too much snow that time of year for comfortable camping.
Hey Mike,
Sounds like another fun one! Thanks for reaching out and planning another trip. I'm not sure about my work schedule this far in advance, so I'll keep an eye on it. Count me as a maybe.
Mark
Thanks for sharing! This trail sounds like a gem and I would be willing to help get it back up and running.

KO2s seem like a solid pick. Some other options to consider are Goodyear Duratracs, Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx, and Nitto Ridge Grapper. KO2 seem to be the best of the bunch for their ability to handle all conditions fairly well while being pretty quiet.

Put me down as a tentative as well as the work schedule could screw things up. Been to DV on several trips before and love the saline valley and eureka valley area. I'm down to check out some new places too though.
From the south, old coast road starts out right next to the main entrance of Andrew Molera State Park. There is no camping along it as far as I know.
South coast ridge road will take you to the campsite this thread is talking about and you can either take will creek road or plaskett creek road...
