I don’t hike much. Rough life of construction damaged the lower back. I can do about 3 miles max round trip. That being said, I have lots of lakes and camp sites with short hikes planned. I tend to skirt the edge of national parks to stay out of the crowds and try to locate remote camp sites.

I made my son in law a trailer very similar. He had 6k into it with a factory built Big Tex 3500 pound trailer under it. My experience though wood just doesn’t hold up.

Not sure when you would need spacers if you are not adding a lift. Most lift companies offer kdss spacers. My Dobinson for my GX460 came with spacers and kdss lean spacers. My Gx470 was not a KDSS model. Good to know though.

Warm springs campground. Headed south on 93 it is a very quiet, clean camp ground. I grabbed for a nights stay and it was one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at.
