First upgrades are minor but necessary
Some seat brackets
3/4” spacer lift (probably put a 1” in the front after a winch )
And some upgraded bumpstops .
And that will be it for a while ....... probably
Hi my name is Shaun and I have a bad case of vehicular ADD . I have bounced around from vehicle to vehicle for far to long , always finding flaws in one form or another that would have me buy a rig build it up drive it for a while then eventually sell it , sometimes for a profit , sometimes...
I may be wrong but the same exact vehicle will have a higher gvrw and towing # rating outside the US so that leads me to believe vehicles can handle more weight than the US says they can .
The Javelina Catalina is by far some of the best food I’ve had , had a way better time there than we did at the Grand Canyon. There’s just something magical about that place reminds me of lot of what the town of bend in Oregon used to be like.
Went out with the little one today to do a little exploring and came to a conclusion, I’m done with trucks after having to backup for over a mile twice due to the rig being to long I think it’s time for a change to something a little shorter with 2 lockers and a 4:1 tcase .
I like using a quick shade , usually on sale you can find them for 50$ and they give a lot of portable shade or here in the pnw protection from the rain .
the rear is fantastic and the front is wayyyyybetter now that it’s not being fully supported by the jounce bumpers . Picking up a winch this weekend so after that’s all on and I get the suspension dialed in the hight I want coilovers will save the day for a much better ride . Also thinking of...
Got the ride better by lifting it more and trimming the bumpstops . It was basically resting on the bumpstops so when I trimmed them the truck lowered 3/4 of a inch . It’s taller than I wanted and I kinda wish I went 4” but still happy with the way it looks ...... might just need bigger tires
It’s what came with a lift kit and to be honest the Chevy rear leaves work quite well not as well as the older 63 inch springs but they still work nonetheless
Well I’m trying to be optimistic but I am running into a small issue already . With the lift set at about 6” it is sitting hard on the jounce bushing . Now I’ve owned lifted torsion bars Chevys in the past and my normal formula for making it right nice would be to put on a 6 inch lift and run it...
