What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

A buddy from Canada was in town and had never shot an AR...so I obliged.

    Overland member chapters

Having grown up in Ohio, it will be like going home. I completely understand. I got involved in a national military/LE tea party type group with 20,000+ members in 2009. Over the course of two years I became a state chapter vice president, state chapter president, western region Vice President...

    Overland member chapters

We might be overthinking this, at least initially. A “chapter” could simply be a list of members with a couple of POCs. Gives someone new to the area or just passing through someone with which to hook up. I would imagine there are groups out there that already do this informally. I know in...

Not a fan of the new format

Not really. The purpose of my post was to express gratitude that I am able to go back to what’s familiar and comfortable. Since I primarily use an iPad to surf the forum I’m not too concerned about a more mobile friendly format and I find an iPhone 5 too small of a screen to learn a new format.

Possibly moving from Vegas to NW Arkansas

Spent the weekend in NWA and it was amazing. We had the inspection of the house we are buying on Friday and this was the first time I saw the property in person. To say I am excited about moving is an understatement. Spent the weekend exploring the area and it will be good to be back 8n the...

How to determine a safe angle on a side hill?

So here’s the mathematical answer to your question That said, the potential of rolling my vehicle has always been my biggest fear. I’ve been in some pretty uncomfortable situations off-road where I’ve felt close to tipping, but in reality I probably wasn’t even close. The problem is not...

2016 Toyota 4Runner Trail edition in Vegas

Nothing, yet. I’m just still overwhelmed by the amount of space insides...when compared to my Jeep.

    My hiker off road trailer

I’ll be curious to see if you have any issues with the solar panels when off road with rocks getting kicked up from the wheels. And that is a beautiful trailer. Interior pics?

    Build questions for TJ owners

I’m running OME shocks on a 4” Teraflex lift on my 94 Rubicon. The lift was installed when I bought the vehicle and when I swapped out the Teraflex shocks with the OMEs the difference was night and day. The nice thing about a Rubicon is stock 4.10s and no SYE required. Front sway bar disconnect...

Not a fan of the new format

When I logged in the other day my reaction was “what the hell?” Once I figured out how to switch back to the old format I was good to go. I guess I’m just not a fan of change and the original format is what every other forum I frequent looks like. Thanks for having the option to go back.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I feel your pain on the install. I have had similar issues with bumpers not being lined up with the holes for install. A recent exception was the RCI rock sliders I installed on the T4R. It was obvious a lot of care was taken to ensure proper fit. The biggest issue was the KDSS system on the...

Looking for a way to heat up the tent with out propane, or electricity

Curious about your aversion to using a propane catalytic heater. We run a Coleman heater in the tent before bed to warm it up. With the RTT we use flannel sheets and down comforters and stay toasty on cold winter nights. Then we run the heater in the morning to take the chill out of the air. I...

2016 Toyota 4Runner Trail edition in Vegas

The RCI rock sliders are beefy as hell. They weigh about 45 lbs each and I used milk crates to line them up for install. The passenger side was easy with only one bolt for a brake line to disconnect. The sliders use the existing threaded holes in the frame with 10 bolts on the passenger side and...

RCI rock sliders arrived and got them installed. A little bit of a pain in the ass doing it by myself, but I managed.
