    Insulation for the poptop roof

Good luck with the project, we did similar to our campervan when we lived in the Alps for the ski season. The most important for us was a double cover for the windscreen we made one for the inside and out. Anything is better than nothing at -25°c, plus using the propex parking heater kept us and...

    Driving off tarmac in France

Driving off the tarmac in France is widely available for now, although "off road" leaving the trail is illegal with some quite expensive fines. I have been living and driving in France now for 23yrs with 4x4 and motorbikes if you follow the rules and you are polite and discreet I personally...

Song that will getcha down the road!

I'm envious of anyone who can hear the music in their rig as we have an ex military 110 land rover with a rag top so on long runs it's ear defenders all round.

    Dynamic Balancing Beads

We run beads in our defender tyres as the tyre shops in France have a meltdown if you aren't running standard sizes. We found out they are great at dynamically balancing the tyres over their entire life especially with large muddies, it also does away with loosing wheel weights on rocky trails.

    Camp coffee!

We use a cafetière (french press?) With a good Brazilian coffee we found. Living in France it's got to be a decent coffee. Cheers

    Tuff Stuff ranger rtt question

It's to assist with climbing the ladder, you have one either side for each hand it makes the transition from the ladder to the tent much safer, my wife uses it all the time as we have a lifted defender and the tent is 2.20m from the floor.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Today's job was to change all the transmission fluids, diffs, transfer case, gearbox and grease the prop shafts on our defender. You have to love getting spanners out if you own a land rover
