Depending on the dates, I could be interested. For places without snow, just east of the Cascades has several options. I'm sure there are some lower wooded areas without snow as well.
Look to the lower elevations. Eastern Oregon? I just went to Central Washington this last weekend and had no issues. The only snow was in the I-90 pass to get from the western side to central.
On my first camping trip of the year! Just an overnighter by myself in the Potholes Reservoir BLM area, but it is gorgeous and quiet out here!
Pictures to follow soon.
My wife did well for my birthday this week and loaded me up with several of my wishlist items for my outings:
1. Buddy Heater
2. Baldr 330 power station
3. Blueridge's attic net for my Jeep
4. Gpca Grip Pro handles for my Jeep
5. Nemo Stargaze chair
And she told me to get out of the house and...
Anyone here with experience camping around the Potholes area near Moses Lake?
I'm planning to go this weekend for an overnighter and to explore a little. There looks to be several dispersed campsite options with a lot of dirt roads/hiking trails. The weather looks to be dry, but with cold...
That is next level there Jeff! Nice job!
I have plastic camp plates and such. My wife likes the disposable stuff for ease of cleanup, but when it's just me with our kids, I do prefer not to create excess waste. I don't mind doing some dishes when camping.
Congrats on your purchase! For vehicle specific questions, you can find a lot of help here: (1) 2018+ Jeep Wrangler (JL) News and Forum – JLwranglerforums.com
I purchased a 2020 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon late last summer with the 2.0T powertrain and I love it so far. You've already been given...
Last thing is the quick release brackets from Ironman 4x4 for my awning from the same company. I also just ordered a Klymit 0 degree sleeping bag. Next up is a buddy heater and hopefully a portable power source for our Iceco fridge.
Recently installed an Ironman4x4 awning on my JLUR, just received the quick release brackets for it but we had around 10 inches of snow so haven't set it up yet.
I am getting my 2003 TJ ready to sell. It's in my garage so I was able to get some stickers and decals off to clean it up. I also...
I missed this and started a separate post about it in the Overland Navigation forum. I love this new feature and had wondered if something like this could be done. So you know if Trailsoffroad.com is considering an app as well? Or are they just sticking with the website approach?
I have been using trailsoffroad.com as a source to find trails in my area in the PNW and saw that they recently introduced a new feature to make it easier to get trails from their site loaded into Gaia GPS.
Here's more info for those interested: New Feature: Push GPX Files Directly to GAIA GPS...
Thanks for helping me find this group! I'm working on contributing and getting more involved in the OB group. I'm usually up for Saturday outings and am hoping to plan a weekend camping trip in March.
