Baja Designs Squadron Sport amber lights installed! Of course we are approaching the extremely long days of the PNW summer so they won't get a lot of use for a few months. But they look good and are really bright!
Also, the Jeep JLU aux switches included with the tow package are awesome. Made...
@Ties that sounds good, and I agree on not using Rally Point just yet.
I'll scan through the thread and find those that have expressed interest and start a private conversation group to work out the plan. If anyone else is interested and hasn't mentioned it yet, reply here or message me...
@MrWilsonWJ and @parrotheadnw
I'll probably be going just for a day trip on Saturday. But there wouldn't be any harm in people joining and peeling off to go camping.
What's the procedure @Ties and others?
Should one of us create a rally point and add a route?
Or should we just make a...
When I did this last year I saw people going both directions. I went North to South, however, I was also able to head back to the west side via Hwy 410. But I think that Hwy is still closed at Chinook Pass and the snow clearing work isn't done yet.

@Haris since you are in the greater Seattle area, there is a repeater that covers a pretty good stretch and is pretty active. I think they may still have a weekly net as well:

I think I've heard folks from Marysville on it while I'm in...
Yes, I did much of that route (maybe a slight variation) last year from Ellensburg to 410. I'd be happy to do it again.
We could meetup in Ellensburg or I'd be happy to join up earlier if anyone is coming over from the west side along I-90. What time are you thinking?
@Haris I will have spare...
Yes, I've been out there once before earlier this year. Also Durr road into the Wenas area is interesting and I did that last year. I should be OK to go for the day outing and will have one of my kids along.
I could be up for a meetup on May 15. I am not sure if I can do an overnighter yet, but will explore the option. Is anything being planned?
I think the LT Murray, Whiskey Dick, and Wenas wildlife areas are open now as well.
Agreed. It might have been enough for me before I experienced what I could do with a Jeep. I looked at various options for my '17 Explorer to get a little more clearance, but they were limited and not ideal. This will maybe push the market further. Competition is good for all.
I'm not sure what Ford is up to as they are now bringing back some (not a lot) off road capabilities to the Ford Explorer lineup: The Ford Explorer Timberline Will Get You Off the Grid in Style (mensjournal.com)
I traded my 2017 Explorer for my Jeep JLUR last year and am not looking to go...
Yes, I'm using Avenza. But it is limited without yet another subscription (I'm using the 3 free imports for now). The feature request was responded to by Gaia and so they do seem to want to do it. But it helps to get visibility and more feedback to prioritize it.
Speaking of Gaia features, I need PDF map support for our WA State Wildlife green dot trails. If you need this, please upvote the ask here: Support for GeoPDFs – Gaia GPS
The maps I need to import are here: Green Dot maps | Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife
Midland replied to a comment of mine on a FB add regarding the lack of split tone monitoring. They also said something is coming soon for that, just a few weeks ago. Who knows when, so depends when you need it.
Check out the YouTube channel for "notarubicon". He's been reviewing a lot of GMRS...
Chinook Pass on SR 410 is getting cleared! Still lots of snow in the mountains, but it's good to see this pass getting opened up soon.

What did you use for the bracket? I have the Warn winch interrupter as well and need to install it on my JLU. My winch is directly wired to my battery at the moment.
