Looks good man! Thanks for the info too. I was planning on just replacing the boots but I didn't realize that after market half-shafts were not up to snuff.
Next on the list is a little lift to grow into the new shoes. Unfortunately the suspension kit I ordered won't be here until at least mid-October due to parts availability, but in the mean time I had a 1" body lift to get things moving forward at least. The install wasn't too bad and only took...
First things first, new wheels and tires! Found some CJ5 wheels with a good backspacing on offerup for cheap so I grabbed them real quick, and of course with wheels sitting in my garage I needed tires obviously. Queue 4 235/75r15 Forceum MTs to my door. Minor rubbing in the front at full lock or...
Two weeks ago I picked up this sweet little Zuki from my neighbor down the street. I'd had my eye on it for a while so once I saw the opportunity I jumped. Big plans for this little 1.6L monster.
So far it needs a little work, as to be expected for a 27 yo 194k mile vehicle. Both outer CV...
So this has been quiet for a bit. What's everyone up to? I've been busy getting stuff done lately with my SV; Installed an ebay snorkel, IMS and bought some Pathfinder wheels. Hit a few trails to stretch things out a bit and I'm trying to figure out some trips for the winter.
Table Mesa, AZ...
Anyone know a decent two day, one night trail? I have a buddy coming in from out of state and he wants to get out this weekend. Any part of the state is fine. Thanks, all
I feel this on a personal level. I had a 2000 XJ and the A/C never worked correctly. The first test drive in my 2013 Frontier was almost magical since I actually felt cold.
Hi Michael, I am still not seeing the verification buttons appearing either. I was going to apply about two weeks ago and noticed it wasn't there but assumed it as something know/ being worked on.
Thanks for that! 100% makes sense to me, that's just the first time I had actually come across someone saying it. I lifted my old XJ 3.5" and my Frontier is ~1.5". Never thought a thing of it nor saw anything on the forums. Whoops I guess :grimacing:
While browsing FB today, one of the pages I follow claimed for every inch of lift gained, you should widen the stance of the rig by an inch as well. Whether it be by spacers, aftermarket wheels, etc., the 1:1 rule should be followed. I suppose I understand the claim so stability can be kept...
Here's a few if you like dirty windshields  Nothing too exciting, but I'm loving this thread so here I am.
South of Lake Pleasant in my 2000 XJ
Castle Hot Springs Road the same trip
And lastly North East of Payson in my new at the time 2013 Frontier
