I’m impressed with my Estwing hatchet. I’d imagine their ax is just as capable. I’ve heard great things about Fiskar. I’d like to get a full size ax and I’m deciding between the two.
I’m on Anderson Design & Fab (ADF). Solid build, made in the states out of Oregon, and reasonably priced for the quality. If you can spring for it check out 4x4 Ironman. Their long travel off-road suspension is killer, so I’ve been told. With all the weight you’re riding around with I’d...
Good stuff! I’m happy to read that the G3 held up. I purchased one earlier this year for times when it’s me and my girl. I’ve heard that the sides can collapse when winds are heavy which concerned me.
Sadly, I had to postpone my run through El Camino del Diablo due to inclement weather—heavy winds and dust storms. Disappointed for sure, but I was able to make it through Big Bend and White Sands before pulling the plug. Here’s some photos:
@mep1811 Looks awesome! I’m in your home state visiting family in Pearland. Leaving Sunday to explore Big Bend NP and the River Rd. I created a thread US Southwest - Winter Road trip: TX to CA for suggestive input for my return home. Feel free to add something/anything you might think worth...
Finally received the brackets for the roof basket light bar. All and all I think the thing worked out. The KC universal wire hider is nice and not just for lighting. I could see myself using it for other items—I’m sure there is an off brand out there for a cheaper cost. I’ll have to see how the...

I’m pleased with the BR rims. Had to...
Stoked to see another Subaru on here. There are so many options for Crosstrek modifications. I own a forester (Subaru Forester Build) and I’m still surprised how much more aftermarket support the trek has over the foz. I find my roof rack and basket to be subpar in the sense that it has...
I don’t bring my cast iron because of the weight. In response to that, I’ve recently been experimenting with carbon steel: light, just as durable, and still offers the same heating benefits as cast iron.
