Resolved Can we change/tune the "frequency" filtering?

@Jim SoG FYSA this has gotten way worse over the last few days. It seems like the filtering is counting picture loads in it's algorithm because loading a pic-intensive thread pretty much locks me out. I seem to be getting locked out with even just this simple workflow: see I have notifications...

Thanks, and that's great info. I don't believe mine is drilled, I'll check and drill it ASAP. -TJ

Going back to a Full Size for my Overlanding

Haven't changed much lately, just been out using it a bunch. Did part of the Mendo BDT with a group here, and a few other trips. Took it 2 weeks ago to a little park in the Santa Cruz Mountains with my bike. First time I put the rack on and got that all dialed-in (6" extension was just right...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

But the math just doesn't work, even if you assume 100% efficient solar panels. Now, battery tech might improve such that range is much better, and rigs might get lighter and certainly will get more efficient. But the limitation of how much solar energy is available per square foot is what it...

    First time...new Rig

You said you've already done all the maintenance, a small lift and slightly bigger tires (I presume something like an all terrain)... you're good to go. Get out and use it, and when you find something that actually needs improved, focus there. That said, if you go out solo then a winch might...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

In another 20 years what? Are you implying solar will be able to meet the energy needs of an Overland-capable rig in 20 years for self-sustained travel? I don't know what you're seeing that others (like Elon Musk) aren't, but there just isn't enough energy per square foot of solar even if you...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

I don't know about you, I struggle to carry an extra sun with me... but extra fuel is easy (and my rig has a 60 gallon tank to begin with). The MIT kids that are doing self-sustained EV stuff are using hyper light/aero vehicles with huge horizontal surface area. They're not remotely related to...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

I know this is a joke, but what is that array, maybe 12x15'? Go back to my prior posts and do the math, then figure losing ~50% range towing it around and you'll find even with an array like that long-term self-sustained EV travel just won't work. -TJ

    Electric powered overland vehicle

Sure, but perhaps you missed the part where I assumed 100% efficiency in the panels. With current tech it'd be more like 5 miles in an hour, and only if the vehicle had 120sqft of those magic 100% efficient panels (which isn't actually feasible). In reality you'd probably have about half that...

    Electric powered overland vehicle

That can't/won't happen, it's literally not possible within the footprint of a vehicle. There isn't enough roof/hood/tonneau cover surface area to power an electric truck/SUV even at 100% panel efficiency. The sun's energy is about 1000w per square meter, or 92.94w per square ft. Even at 100%...

Both great options too. My previous lift was all IRO and my current lift is based off of Trail Forged. I don't think you can go wrong w/ any of 'em. -TJ

    First mods to rig

Sorry to answer your question with a question, but what does your rig not do for you, that you need it to? The answer(s) to this question should provide the direction for your mods, if any. Being over a decade old I'd just start with making sure all of the maintenance is up to date and...

    RIGd UltraSwing Megafit

Got my 1-Up setup, riding tomorrow. Had to use a 6" extension to clear the massive spare, used an anti-rattle on the extension into Rig'd side, and the 1-up has it's own where it goes into the extension. I will say, watching it in the mirror it bounces a lot... I might look into a ratchet...
