Hey, I'm in Palo Alto (and Vegas). I'd love to check out the R1T sometime, or go for a trip with you and see how it works out. I have several friends that have them on order.

I'd suggest the constant duty. First, it's constant duty so you can "set it and forget it" especially if you do the 4-tire fill kit. Second, it's the 450 head unit, same as the portable I have that on constant duty would probably take ~30-40 minutes to take some 35"s from 25 to 55psi. You...
Can you post which ones you're looking at? I have and it did pretty well with my previous 35x12.5-18" tires on my 2500. I'd say it took ~10min per tire to come back up from ~25psi to 55-60psi. I'd let it rest ~5min between tires, so it took an hour to do. If you're going to mount an...
Hey all, I'm looking for actual experience with, and feedback on 8.1 GMT800 Suburbans from owners. I'm pretty familiar with the GMT800 platform as a whole, and I've had a few buddies with 8.1s in pickups but nothing beats real-world experience that matches the intended use case from owners.
A...
Great advice there!
I haven't owned/Overlanded a TJ, but I have had lots of friends with them and spent a decent amount of time in/around them. I'd say the single biggest thing, particularly with a 4cyl like you're considering building is not to go too big/heavy. TJs are exceptionally...
Well, it seems I certainly did strike a nerve here. Hopefully this thread is actually informative for content creators as well. Glad I'm not the only one!

JKs can fit a 16", most just don't do it. I have JK axles/brakes on the WJ and I run 16"s on it. I wish I had 17"s though (should have just bought new wheels when I did the bigger tires) so I could put a big brake kit for a JK on the front of it. The brakes are... "okay" at best.

You'll prob have better luck on the WJ Facebook Groups (as scary as that is) with this specific of a question. When I still had stock axles/brakes because all my research said 15"s wouldn't clear. That said, steelies have more clearance *generally* and it's going to come down to our exact...
Glad to hear it's not just me! I have some Overland YT channels that I follow, and I make sure to support them how I can (like/subscribe/thumbs up/etc.) but thus far haven't decided to support any of them directly in a monetary fashion (Patreon, whatever). On the other hand, I specifically...
Am I the only one that finds it frustrating/annoying when folks post threads (often with a catchy title) that have ZERO content other than their YT video embedded? I get that some folks make YT content to actually help and educate, heck probably the majority of YT'ers. While some make massive...
I haven't updated the thread in a bit, because I haven't changed much on the rig. I've just been using/enjoying it. Eventually I still want to get a custom leaf pack made to eliminate the blocks and better handle the weight, but honestly it's been super handy needing the bags to level it out...
I find a lot of RV parks are like this. This is going to sound elitist AF... but we actually bought in a private RV park that only allowed DPs 10 years old or newer and had plenty of rules against all of ^^^^^^that behavior. It was populated by lets say 99% retired, wealthy folks. It was...
