Based on the video, he wasn't WOT trying to make the obstacle. I believe what is being reported is he was losing power/power was cutting and he even went WOT but still got no power. In other words, he was adding throttle to try to compensate for the power loss, as opposed to trying the...
Do you want good gas mileage, good range, or both? If you just hate stopping for gas, you don't necessarily need great MPG as long as you have a big tank. My D'max truck was still seeing about 17 MPG with my Four Wheel Camper in the bed on 35"s and the stock 3.73s. With the ~60 gallon tank I...
Weird, everything I found on the internet says the opposite: it must be all his fault because the new Bronco can do NO WRONG. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tonguewink:

It flopped to the driver's side, not backwards. The fuel issue is a good point though, and *if* that was the issue it shows how a lack of understanding *how* a vehicle actually works can be dangerous. Most just figure "why do I need to know how it works?"
The new Broncos have "GOAT" modes...
Didn't see the vid in the link, but watched it earlier. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, and if there is any data/evidence about it cutting out. I wonder which mode it was in and if this was perhaps just standard traction control kicking in, because it wasn't in one of the modes...
FWIW the '19+ RAM 1500 back seat is bigger than you'll find in any SUV out there. That said, if you still decide to go SUV WK2s seem to be a steal right now. You could get a nice 5.7 Hemi model that'll tow great and give you a lot of the capability of your Silverado, but also provide a nice...
A few updates, these are actually from late last week. First, a bracket made to mount a twin ARB air compressor setup under hood near the brake master:
And some pics of how she sits:

FWIW the restriction seems tighter than ever, my work PC was blocked basically all day yesterday because I opened 2 threads in tabs, then opened a 3rd via the link in a notification email all within a few minutes.

Again, disagree. A 6.2 gas Ford is worth nothing as well. We had a '06 5.7 Hemi Ram that was super, super clean (I had it fully repainted, top quality, all new every wear item etc. etc. etc.) that we sold about 8 years ago (so it was newer at the time, than my truck is now) and got like $12k...
My rig already has a lot going out back, but with a Four Wheel Camper in the bed, that's really the only option for a bike rack (I have no interest in using the roof rails on the FWC itself to mount a rack, I'd need a ladder to load/unload and I'd need to remove the bike to pop the top up... and...
Agree to disagree. My '11 diesel has over 130k miles on it and before the solid-axle-swap I still got offered $50k. Sure, it's been meticulously maintained and tastefully modded, but if it was a '11 Chevy 2500 gasser it'd be worth about $0.03.

I always love seeing a Silverado build, since they're not too common. Like you said, there is a bit less aftermarket support for them, but certainly still enough to make for a fun "build." 33"s AT3s are probably the right size for 99% of overlanding. The only thing I'd caution, is to keep an...
TTT - buyer dropped out. To be clear, nobody has actually come and looked at this trailer. I'm confident the first folks that actually check it out will buy it, but nobody has yet...

Air bag spacers and cradles getting made (the idea here is that at anything other than full droop, the air bags will stay in contact w/ the cradle so they won't make noise, but when dropping out they won't limit travel/articulation):
Then the beginnings of the fuel tank skid. The tank...
