flexible solar panel to roof top tent

Hey mate, Ive VHB taped my Renogy 100W flexi solar panel to my RTT ~12months ago and have had zero problems. Ive used in camping situations during summer around the 38deg C to in winter around the -8deg C, and whilst I read posts of people stating there will be output loss, and extreme heat...

    IKamper

Hi mate, I have the iKamper mini on a bed rack on my Ford Ranger (PX2) and in short I cant see a problem (also I cant fault it for quality and ease of use). I have used it from around the -10C through to Australian summer on the beach at closer to 40C. The only recommendation I would suggest is...

    UHF multi-aerial setup

Hi All, This thread to get the peoples opinion on the use of 2 or more UHF aerials on the one rig. I personally have only one aerial point (GME XRS-370 setup) and and it works fine, I more curious as to why other people have several. There are a lot of rigs getting around here with 2 aerials of...

    Trash carrier option

I have an Oscar's Mobile Hideout Bag attached to my tailgate on the Ranger, no spare tire on the rear either. I have used the bag here in Australia and through the snow and bulldust I cant fault it, also holds 30kg of wood nicely.

    Compressor - A or B ?

Hi All, I currently have a thunder compressor in the tray however due to its size I am removing it over the weekend. Would like to know the OB community take on option A TJM and option B ARB single tank. Happy to get ideas on other brands, only real requirement is small form factor and can bolt...

    Renogy products

Hi mate, I have a Renogy 100W flexi solar panel attached to my iKamper mini. I got the panel sent over from US as it wasnt available here in AUS and was quicker to have it imported instead of sitting on the wait list. Having used a few different brands of different types (hard, blanket and...

    5lbs. Propane Storage

Hi, I had mine previously attached to the side of the bed in the left rear corner so it was easy access from the tailgate, I used quickfist large adaptors. This overall worked well however have since moved it to the roof rear right corner using the Rhino Rack using their adaptor, this so far is...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Added a 100W Renogy solar panel to the lefthand side of the iKamper. The cable is running down betwen the tray and cabin, under the chassis (sitting on the topside of the frame) and then connects to an anderson plug at the rear (and then onto the 2nd battery). Reason for this one was the arb...

    Trip Planning AUS - US

Hot springs after a day on the trails sounds bliss mate, I'll definetly be wanting to stay away from the hustle and bustle (I meant Denver as a rough area on a map, not really the city actual) so the suggestion of Buena Vista and Arrowhead is great. I will do some specific research on those...

    Trip Planning AUS - US

Quick update to the planning: Shipping is getting more difficult by the day with the omicron increasing time delays and driving uncertainty through the roof. Some companies aren't taking any orders that aren't business related due to already being behind and they need to catch up, and a few are...
