I have found that most folks are going GMRS.
CB is nice to have in the truck if you see a logging sign telling you what channel the trucks are on.
If you are not with a group , not sure what to tell you on what to listen too.
I usually have the radio set to a HAM repeater and sending out APRS...
Please plan on avoiding IDBDR section 8 between Clark Fork and Trestle Creek.
There are currently several fires up there near lunch peak and it is an active fire operation.
If you are on section 8 heading to Roman Nose and want a more challenging spot try Cooks lake.

North end of the Idaho BDR is fun. There is plenty of places to get off the grid up here in North Idaho.
Depending on where your track takes you I can try to recommend some places to pitch your tent.

Due to Roman nose being full our little group diverted to Cooks Lake.
Cooks has a slightly technical gate keeper on the last 1/4 mile to get to this spot, but it does not disappoint.
