Hey @Oscar Arce , it looks like your rig will do fine on most trails. I would check out YouTube so you can see the different locations and trails to visit. As far as weather, it’s the desert. I’ll be there next weekend and there’s 50% rain! I always check my Weather Channel app before going...
This is definitely doable but you will be racing the sun. We recently had a group of 12 vehicles (including one very capable driver with a trailer) go from Tea Kettle to the dunes in about 8 hours. Of course your time will vary depending on type and amount of vehicles and stops you make.
Based on the quality of their product and the fact that they reached out to me on Instagram apologizing for their mistakes, I would/will not hesitate to order from BROG. The reality is that they’re small (which probably contributes to the quality) and we (I) need to be patient when ordering.
BROG update; They responded to me on IG with an apology for the mistake made and to make good on the bag. I appreciate their acknowledgement and owning up to it instead of making BS excuses, this shows the true character of the company. That alone shows positive customer service and in turn...
I'll start this rant with acknowledging that Blue Ridge Overland Gear (BROG) is very popular and has quality products. However, I do have an issue with their ordering process and customer service. I've tried to purchase their XL bag three times within the last several months. The first time the...
I’ll add to Overland Expedition, the tightest spot is Dedeckera Canyon. As I’ve suggested to others, you can YouTube it and get an idea. We will be going down the steps. I’ve gone up the steps with 1500 in the group with no issues. Hope this helps.
I do agree with you that most less than lethal options would just piss a bear off. Bear spray might buy you some time for a hasty getaway, but not much time. If running away, always try for downhill as their shorter front legs make them unstable, otherwise they’ll be on you like stink on a...
Hey all LA/WLA and any SoCal members, it’s meetup time again. This Saturday, 10/13/18, we will be meeting at 0930-??? In Culver City. Come meet OB members and check out some cool rigs. Also, we can discuss trail rides/ camping trips and anything overlanding as well as letting you know of some...
No complaints so far and I’m not expecting any. I picked it up in August and have slept 6 nights in it. I’ve been in cold and wind and it’s done just fine.
@VCeXpedition, Not many pics, at one point busy strapping a 4RNR to my Jk which was strapped to the Fj60. Yes, you read that correctly...lots of stories!!!
