Can't wait for the advanced ham radio course...I could even give a digital hotspot presentation at some point...I will be giving it at my local ham club meeting on Jan. 3rd.

I own an Anytone AT-D878-UV and it is by far my favorite DMR HT radio. There is a bit of a learning curve to get the code plugs down but once you do it is a sweet rig.

I own the Yaesu FT-60R, FT-70D and FT-2D...I would go with the FT-70D as your next radio. This way you get both analog and digital radios in one. I love the FT-60 but save up the extra $$$ and go with the FT-70...you won't regret it.

Hey thanks for organizing yet another fine SoCal meet up event! The options to get out and meet like minded OBers is catching fire in the southland. OC 1st Saturday, LA 2nd Saturday, IE 3rd Saturday and SD on the 4th Thursday makes there plenty of options for folks to come out during the month...

Hello Brandon...love the XJ on the snow. Hope to see it in person on the 1st. I will bring mine but only be there for a short while...drop in, get coffee and say my hellos.

I am always down for a Tuesday or Wednesday night Rigs and Coffee meet up. Also was thinking we should plan a drive-in movie night meet-up sometime...there are two drive-ins here in Riverside that we could go to. I will see ya in the morning.

We try to do one meet-up at a local strip mall out here and the following month do a easy to moderate run so we can test out our rigs. Both meet-ups you will meet a great group of guys.

Welcome to OB from the IE. You can look in Rally point for meet ups near you. There is an Irvine meetup usually the 1st Saturday of the month. I am from the IE and there is a Riverside one on the 3rd Saturday...there are a few guys that drive out from the OC for that if you are up for that...
