The AT (not AT3) is a tire made specifically for Wal Mart. FWIW I ran a set of the ATs on my XJ and liked them quite a bit. They were 235/75R15s and were only like 75 dollars a tire. They carried me all over Oklahoma and Arkansas and saw a lot of dirt use. Never had an issue with them...
Started replacing the valve stem seals on my Brothers CJ7 today got the driver's side done before I lost motivation and it got too hot. I'll knock out the passenger side next day off.
Older video but the positions of the radios are still the same with different radios in their places, the center console spot is used for APRS sometimes and CB when I need it.
Finished up the mostly brake rebuild on the CJ7 but found out the master cylinder is shot and the calipers are jammed up, was hoping to save them but oh well. Once those items are replaced the braking system will be essentially new other than the hardlines. Got a RA order coming in to replace...
Here's a decent reference for wire sizing based on AMPs and length. Honestly these little fridges don't draw a ton of power. 2-3 amps? You don't really need battery cable sized wiring to run them. If you're running the full length of your vehicle some 12 gauge wiring should give you some...
Very nice. I built one as well a few years ago. Not nearly as refined though. I did wind up buying a Jackery 300 earlier today as I'm wanting to move into a 12v fridge and didn't think my box was refined enouigh to get the job done as my 12v outputs are unregulated.
I call it the mod Cascade. It's really prevalent in the bigger is better communities, folks who buy a Jeep and immediately puta lift and 40s on, then realize the axles need to be upgraded, then realize that they need lockers, then realize that they need armor and new bumpers, blah, blah, blah...
Which surprises me since Texas isn't exactly awash with places to use them. I know a lot of folks around me just drive them around on the county back roads illegally.
A surprising number of folks use used minivans like that around here. They buy used vans that were used as kid haulers then rip out the seats and fill them with work tools and stuff and drive them till they just wont go anymore.
I was intrigued enough to go "build" one on Ford's website. There's not enough meat in the FX4 package to make me upgrade to the XLT package, no LSD, no Locker, just skids and drive modes it looks like. I built out a base model with Ecoboost (this deletes the Hybrid portion of the drivetrain...
Like I said haven't watched it but people were turned off (so to speak) by the focus on simply trying to find places to charge the bikes. Instead of camping in out of the way spots they had to do a lot more preplanning to find out where they could charge the bikes at night. Apparently there...
Never really paid much attention to the support vehicles when I watched but I haven't seen the newest one because it got such horrid reviews from the adv bike crowd which I used to be heavily involved in.
You got your S and R backwards @donj51 ;) GMRS
I hold HAM and GMRS licenses. I don't do DMR because no one I go out with runs it. I do run APRS sometimes but mostly so the wife can look and have an idea of where I"m at on trips.
Here's an older video of my setup, my primary radio has...
