May 25th
This month's meet-up is at Uwharrie National Forest. This is NOT an offroad exclusive meeting! There is plenty to do for all skill levels, interest, and group dynamic.
Meeting Itinerary: (Rough Outline)
10AM Meet at El Dorado Outpost
- Catch up with each other and welcome...
So the Triad has 2 Rally Points set up for the same event....
@Graham1298 and @overlandwanderlust work this out please so people are not more confused than they already are.
Thanks
Set it for 10 am.
Its a coffee and rigs type get together with the chance to off-road for anyone interested. Tons of dirt roads and light trails for beginners or people who don’t want to go rock crawling. There is breakfast and lunch available at the outpost.
After the initial meeting everyone...
This current app is lightyears better than the old one, but i agree. I can’t set it up because it would label me as the coordinator and I can’t deal with all that right now
Someone will need to step up and set the Rally Point for the next meet up. I recently started a new job and with a new baby I won’t be able to lead as usual, I’m hoping to attend though.
I think we should move towards have different smaller groups that meet locally monthly or however much they chose to. Then a couple times of year the groups from different cities get together and hit the road.
I agree that NC is too big of a state to expect people to make 3-4 hour trips one way...
Depending on the trail and the rig then it is.
You get the wrong rig on the wrong trail and it’s a nightmare.
“It doesn’t matter what you drive but it does matter where you drive it”
The trail is significantly harder than years past. I’m assuming because all the rain.
There are a couple bypasses and for the obstacles that don’t you’ll need a spotter and the proper line.

How does May 25th at Uwharrie for our next meet-up work for you guys?
