Happy to do it @Michael would appreciate a share on social of the article from anyone who can. It helps me keep the wheels turning. Speaking of which we're heading into Baja for 2 months here in about a week!
I reached out to @Michael and @Corrie awhile back for some insight. They didn't know I was going to write this article at the time, but I've found such great community here. Y'all are some pretty cool people. As fulltime travelers we've gotten to meet quite a few of you over the years and we...
Yep. Everything is still functioning great and we've put it through every kind of weather and road (and off road) condition. We opted for the batwing as well. Updated photo:
To be honest we haven't had any issues with the stock antenna either. I think Midland just wants to send us their new one because nobody has them yet and they want the word out about them. So we'll see how the new ones do by comparison and report back.
Thanks Rolando. It's been good so far regarding location.
Apparently Midland just came out with some even better antennas and they are sending me a couple to try them out. I'll post once I have them installed my thoughts on them in case anyone is interested.
We recently installed the Midland USA MicroMobile MXT400 GMRS radio in our rig. Full transparency we are gear sponsored by Midland now though we'd been using their radios for years before they knew we existed.

We have. A little too touristy, but as lovers of history we still really enjoyed walking around the town and seeing all of the famous spots from the wild west.
Great questions. I'm going to guess that he means a slide in full on camper type thing.
Honestly I don't know what he's looking for. I know he wants to go fishing and go off grid for extended periods of time. He has money, but he's not a spendthrift. So I'm guessing he wouldn't mind paying for...
Thanks for taking the time to share that. It's all gibberish to me, but I'm sure my friend will understand. I'll send it his way. Appreciate you. ~ Eric
Hey OB friends. So we just pulled into Tucson, AZ. We're on our 6th year of fulltime travel. Always love connecting with like-minded adventurers on our travels but it looks like we'll be out of the area by the monthly meetup here.
Just wanted to say hello, ask if anyone is around. Get any...
So this isn't for me, but for a good friend looking to get into the overland lifestyle (and possibly join OB) he's really good people. He reached out to me asking for recommendations on truck campers. I haven't a clue and don't plan to get one. But I know that there's plenty of knowledgeable...

Hey Rocco. So we travel fulltime (about to start our 7th year with no home or property) and have abused our iKamper relentlessly and put it through pretty much every kind of weather and a ton of off road trails. We aren't sponsored by iKamper, but we've been really happy with the product. Though...
Man, you already hit the nail on the head. The two hardest things we personally had to give up for this lifestyle are our "home church" which we still visit a few times a year when we pass through Texas for all of our doctors and dentist visits, vehicle registration etc, and volunteering. There...
