Never used the Avenza, but I can tell you that the Gaia works very well for me. Making tracks, downloading tracks from someone else's ride, downloading the Maps for when you are out of service. I would only say that if Avenza has similar features and you are familiar, you may be best to stay...
Great write up all the way around. I am not sure that anyone can find an off-road trailer that will fit their exact needs, and your mods look well thought out and creatively put into place. Really liked the rear awning hack you used. I have an 270 degree but wont always pull it out because it...
Yeah that was something I had not considered. But saw several mentions of it not only here but did some research and found that the Avocado oil is recommended through several sources.
For me CI is the only way to go. I am fortunate that most of mine is all very old. I got several pieces, 6", 12", 16" skillets from my Great Aunt who's mother found them in an abandoned cabin on the top of the mountain that her family had. The story is that it was found around 1880, so not...
Obviously there are a lot of options.
I have the Jackery 240, the Goal Zero 400 Lithium, and recently put a Northstar Lithium battery into my Tundra. I ran the my fridge, an ARB off the GZ one night and eventually just left it plugged into the back of the truck. I have a cap so it was out of...
Just installed my rack. Nice build. I am in Memphis, new this area would like to meet up sometime not sure what part of the state you are in. I have done parts of the GA traverse and Hawks Pride OHV park in Alabama.

FYI,
Beasley knob is not along the Traverse trail, but just east of Blairsville, GA. If you have time, it does provide some challenges. The Traverse, which I have not completed entirely, is a great ride and does not require the same set up as Beasley knob. The traverse is much more user...
My son, OB#1996, and I spent some time driving some of the Eastern portions of the GA Traverse. If you are anywhere near North GA, I recommend taking some time to download and drive some of the sections, we really enjoyed it and hope to drive some of the remaining legs.
We did take a day and...
Where did you source the rims? I have asked that question as well? If there is an advantage to moving from my stock 18"s to the steel rim. I have got to get my side steps off, it looks so much better with out.
I believe I will have to do some research on @MUD see what I can come up with.
Thanks
I have recently purchased a 2005 Land Cruiser, since OB#1996 took my Jeep.
So I am going to install the OME 2 1/2 lift and need to understand what my tire size options are for the lift?
I believe that I read somewhere that with that lift it will accommodate a 305 tire size. I am currently...
Saw in another thread some Shade Sox. Available on amazon. It is a screen that you pull over your door windows. I have not tried them, but thought they looked like they would serve the purpose pretty well for privacy when doing and overnight in the car. I will be purchasing soon.
That is awesome. Great idea. I am sure that there are several folks that would be able to do like wise. I am just getting started in over landing. Always enjoyed camping and hiking and stumbled onto this and get real interested. I hope to have some helpful items to contribute in the near...
