Refilling the one lb tanks has been done for decades. Never against the law, multiple companies have made and sold refill adapters. Several vids on YouTube on how to refill them. I guess the best advice I'd give is to NOT led the FBI know you are doing it. They are raiding homes for goofy...
That's a big dog to wrestle up into a roof tent. My lab is 10, and about 70 lbs, so I don't want to risk injury, so he has the annex as his domain, with his kennel he has slept in since he was a pup. For traveling, he gets the back seat of the truck with a doggy-hammock to keep him comfy and...
Very generous of you. Did you upgrade or just decide to go a different direction? I bought the same tent about a year ago. I really like it. Been doing some upgrades, but it is roomy and fairly easy to deploy. Just curious.
Question for all you drone flyers... Are there laws that restrict where and or when you can fly them? I had one in or over my back yard a couple weeks ago. Thought about shooting it down, as it seemed a bit intrusive, made me feel like it was casing the place. Turns out it was some guy...
DO bags, available on Amazon, Sportsman's Warehouse, Wally World, almost anywhere you can buy cast iron pots! Those suckers are heavy enough alone, so an individual bag is perfect! Although I do have a wooden crate I that holds a Cast Iron cook set that has a DO, griddle, skillit, lid lifter...
From my tailgating days, I'd have to say bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalapenos and steak fajitas. Both are awesome on a chilly football tailgating picnic or equally on a fall camp...
I built mine from a bike carrier. I attached a spare tire bracket from Amazon and a hitch extender and a double hitch receiver. It still holds two bikes if I want it to. I added some hitch shims to stop it from rattling or bouncing. Works pretty well so far.
I second the neetsfoot oil and would advise caution on pure beeswax, if you want to leave the sheath out in the elements, particularly the sun and heat. Beeswax could cook and crack the leather with temps in the 90s or above. The neetsfoot oil should be better, but a synthetic material like...
A large family dog makes an awesome baby sitter and early warning system if anything or any one wanders into camp. We've had dogs since before we had kids. For real youngsters, they would sleep with us until old enough to have their own space or area in our tent.
A diesel heater is far and away the best and safest fuel based heater for camping in a tent, camper or vehicle. No smoke or fumes or condensation in the sleeping area. Only electric heat compares but with a much higher power consumption rate. There are a number of knock off all-in-one types...
