    The Perfect Camp Stove

Whew...all the rabbit holes. Camp stoves are on the new squaredrop build docket and this thread came up. I like your argument for induction, @cug, but I'm so used to cooking with flame that I'm not sure I want to switch away... I own a Camp Chef something, but dislike the lack of flame control...

Yup, another 5th gen 4Runner...but pulling a DIY expedition camper

Crud! Sorry Micheal, I meant on the truck. I'll be putting a dirt bike carrier on the back of the trailer. So I'll end up with a tire on the front of the trailer, and then possibly the 4R tire on the back of the truck. That's a cool tire carrier though. Nice and simple.

Yup, another 5th gen 4Runner...but pulling a DIY expedition camper

There is likely not a single thing I plan on doing to my vehicle build that you can't find in multiple UToob videos, but I'll lump my concurrent camper build in with it too. Hoping y'all can help me with answers to my questions too. ***Insert stock picture of a white Fer'ner here.*** It will...

    Rig Photos

Funny thing is that today I saw a black 4R with a white version of the same exact decal I ordered. Sheesh. It’s the one with the trees, mountains, and a compass which I intend in cutting off, but still!

    Reaver's Squaredrop Camper Build!!

Ah. My mistake. I thought I read the center panel was 3/8", then faced one side with 1/4".

    Reaver's Squaredrop Camper Build!!

So glad I found this thread! What you're doing is very similar to what I'm imagining for my build. Some significant differences in the configuration, but you have me thinking about changing from a true fiberglassed solid plywood panel to the "cutout" plywood panel with inner paneling and...

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

Y'all have convinced me. The new rig is getting the Method 703 wheels with the -12 offset to carry the Wildpeak A/T4W in an LT315/70/R17. After a lift, of course. I already ordered the wheels but if anyone thinks this is the stoopedist idea ever, and have good reasons for that thought, I'd love...

    Do you use beadlock wheels

How do you like these, @phlfly? I have the 703's in my shopping cart right now.

About as boring vanilla as you could imagine but it's a start! Just picked it up today. 2023 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium. The local dealer discounted it, trying to offload their last few 2023's. First purchase for it is a Pedal Commander. Next up is a side decal to make it even just a little...

    Family adventure trailer

No thread yet but will try to get that going soon... I don't think your axle is too far back. Not much worse to tow than a tongue-light trailer. Of course keep your GVWR in mind, but I can't imagine the tongue weight on your trailer being more than a few hundred pounds. And I can affirm your...

    Homemade expedition trailer

Very cool! Where would you source built doors? I'm currently building a sleep-in expedition small camper. I found teardrop camper entry doors for almost $500 each (seems a bit pricey...)

Overland Expo Mtn West - 2023

Dang. I live about an hour away and didn't know this was a thing. Hope to go in 2024.

    Camp entertainment

You read my mind. I was looking for something like this for our next outing. Of course, my 4 boys will just use it to tie each other up, but I'll just make sure they include duct tape for some quiet time. Ha!

Camp Mini Bike...Enter the Rabbit Hole>>>

So the Coleman minibike thing... Just picked up a B100 and a BT200X from our local Camping World. The service techs at CW said they did the initial assembly and setup. The 100 ran like crap when we got it. After an unsuccessful attempt at getting Coleman to reasonably accomodate some warranty...

    Family adventure trailer

Interesting. It’s making me question the departure angle of my camper build. I think it will be ok but it’s a lot lower than yours.

    Family adventure trailer

I’ve been looking for an axle design like that! Was looking to make my own trailing A-arm suspension. I currently have half torsion axles under my small camper. They are fine but limited in being able to adjust the ride height. Are those adjustable? Even by replacing the spring? tnttt.com might...

Member Introductions *NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF*

Wow! I could be here for years reading all the intro's for over 100K members... This seems like a busy place. :grinning: TrussGuy comes from an old (oooold) gamertag that has been long since retired, but since my initial choice was already taken, here we are. I don't have a capable rig at the...
