    BIG BEND RANCH STATE PARK

In addition to Guale 2, I would recommend Chorro Vista. The hikes down into those canyons were great.

A good tool to quickly air down your tires that wont break the bank.

So 30 seconds to air down, 30 minutes to air up, 60:1 ratio - that is my point. Again my point was not about speed, but the video guy focused on the easy part of the problem, not the hard, more costly, time consuming part. I use an ARB Twin Compressor with a 4:1 kit. It is about 6:1.

A good tool to quickly air down your tires that wont break the bank.

Airing down is fast and easy. Airing back up is more time consuming and work.

Big Bend Ranch State Park - Chorro Vista Campsite

It is not like any other Texas state park, and it is certainly not "well kept", and does not even compare to BBNP. It is basically a wilderness area, with no paved roads, no cell, electric, water, showers, toilets, etc., available anywhere except ranger station. Roads are not maintained and...

    Headed to Big Bend NP.

You can stay in a lodge in Chisos Mtns, but they book fast, so lead time is important. Basing outside park, you are going to be wasting a lot of time driving in/out.

Are 265 Tires hurting my overlanding experience?

You missed that he never asked about "the suspension and drivetrain", which was a significant part of your answer. If you configure the suspension and drivetrain to match, you will experience a significant increase in off-road capability going from 265s to 285s. No worries though.

Are 265 Tires hurting my overlanding experience?

Agreed, but that is not what he asked.

Are 265 Tires hurting my overlanding experience?

Short answer no, you are not hurting, and I would not throw out good 265 to get 285s. Get 285s when the 265s wear out. You only gain ~5/8 inches in ride height, and pick up ~6-12 bs per tire. Not enough IMO to warrant tossing out good tires. Note there are different WildPeaks, the Passenger...

No just BBRSP. We stayed at Guale2 last time we were here. I have not been to BBNP since pre-covid.
