One thing would be to start by answering the questions here: If you're going to ask "what vehicle is best..."
These will give us an idea how you'll use your vehicle and what your priorities should be. All of that said, I would suggest almost certainly switching from the Element will save you...
I have a few friends with Rivians on order that intend to (attempt to) overland with them. I'm sure they'll want to join me on trips so I expect to have to do a lot of planning around their limitations for those trips...

Aluminess shovel/axe combo on a Mule mount for the FWC. Truth-be-told I didn't need the Mule mount, I could have just drilled the Aluminess mount to bolt direct to the camper jack mounts. I might still do that, moving the shovel/axe to the other side so I can put an actual Aluminess box for...
100%. Especially because the other thing I forgot to mention is manufacturers are left to make their measurements on whatever rim width they choose, and whatever pressure. You could take the same 315/75R16 I have and put it on a 4" rim (it'd be tough, but you could do it) and I bet it'd sit...
^This! To be fully accurate we'd need to know the aspect ratio *and* the rim size to know the actual diameter. I find that within a very specific automotive community people use just the width of the tire to talk about overall size, because on their very specific vehicle everyone runs the same...
@Dave Purvis I'm still looking good to make it, but I'm not 110% (maybe 90%). I don't want to hog an RSVP spot if I'm not certain with so many other folks wanting to join, so let me know if you'd like to move me to more of an "alternate." Also, I noticed on the Rally Point description it...
WJ was '99-04 and is the 2nd generation, but last that was solid front/rear axles. WK1 was '05-2010 and went IFS, but was still solid rear. WK2s were '11-21 and are IFS/IRS. As for WJ quirks there are lots of little things like the wiring harness in from the body to the doors hardens and...
Yeah, I just threw that out there because they seem like a "bargain." I paid 12.5k for my '12 Pro-4X with ~140k miles but in very good shape with full records. A similarly equipped 4Runner of the same era/miles seemed like it was going to be nearly twice as expensive. FWIW the SMOD thing was...
Perfect! You're halfway there already having the Civic, now you can consider more "serious" off roaders. Not saying you need a Jeep on tons and 42"s or anything, but you can consider true 4wds with low range and whatnot.

I'm just going to throw out a curve-ball, but why not a separate DD and Overlander? I get the benefits of one vehicle for both (1 set of tire/brakes/oil changes/etc, reg and insurance on one vehicle vs. 2 etc.) but I always think it's at least worth considering dedicated vehicles. Say you were...
100%, of course that's where the snowball from heck comes in. If I were doing either the Titan or that mid-travel kit I'd start down the path of "well probably should throw new wheel bearings at it" and "definitely new calipers/rotors/pads" etc. etc. and I'd make sure everything in the front...
Yup, it's all bolt-on unless you're getting really crazy and going with non-stock shock hoops and things like that which would need welded in. But you'd only do that if you're basically doing a Titan swap AND a Titan long-travel at the same time, vs. just a Titan swap which is already "long...
I assume you're using a co2 detector when sleeping in your rig with it running? If not, please do. ;)
Anyway, when I tent camp out of the WJ or X I have a 2,500Wh power supply and a basic heated blanket. I can run it on low (which is plenty so far) for at least 3 nights off the power...
I suppose it all depends on what sort of trips/trails you want to do. The Subi is pretty capable stock, and will handle most groomed "soft" roads with ease. As others have said, if you're going to do anything, it'd be tires first. Something that won't slice or puncture easily on sharp rocks...
Tires (which you're already doing) and armor (the extent will depend on what type of trails you plan). The rest is just extra (coming from a guy with a Hemi-swapped, long-arm WJ and a solid axle-swapped D'max ;) :) ).

The holiday stalled-out assembly, the pistons rods are all together but waiting on the proper ring compressor for the somewhat unusual bore (well, for us former LS-junkies):
We also threw the stock 6.1 cam in a cam-doctor, if you recall the internets says it should be 221/225 at 0.571/0.551 on...
