    Similar to this. The round ends used to mount to the bicycle were modified to screw into the dash somehow.

    My pillars are smooth. He used the OEM center dash pocket/cutout, routed power through the dash and mounted a carbon fiber handlebar extension to be able to use RAM style mounts.

    Thanks for the response. Not what I was refering to though. IIRC he had used a bicycle handle bar extension on the dash to mount electronics to. Very similar to the ram bar mounts found in many jeeps but nearly as long. I remember when I watched the video I placed items on a wish list for...

    A while back Michael did a video showing how he modded a Jeep like accessory bar to his rig for mounting electronics. Does anyone know where that is? I'd liike to do something similar in my rig or at least review it again for inspiration.

    I agree that the 4 ft extension poles that I made mine from aren't that small. But compared to my tato stand it is very small. I figure someday I'll have a cargo basket or box up top and neither will be a factor.

    Dear for DIY Tensa stand, tensa outdoors even yave instructions on their website. I made mine from fiberglass and aluminum poles, works great except I haven't figured out a tarp solution that I like.
