SOLD For Sale - Utah - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon + Ursa Minor - $31k

Hello, I'm selling my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited equipped with an Ursa Minor J30 camper top. I've had it for almost two years and have really enjoyed it but am ready to move on to something else. With two people and two large dogs, the Jeep is a little too cramped for us. I hope...

    AT Overland Habitat

Cool, thanks a lot for the feedback! Thankfully there are more and more options like this out there so I’m always curious why someone chose one or another. I was able to check out a bunch at Expo West this past year too.

    AT Overland Habitat

Looks great and like a lot of fun! I’m curious did you consider the AT Summit as well (wedge style rather than the 180 flip style)?

    My basecamp water container

I use a waterbrick or a pair of waterbricks depending on the length of the trip. I like them in that they are stable and can stack! The negative is that the spigot attachment leaks a little and you have to tilt the brick a little to get water come out a decent rate once you are down to about...

    Wrangler vs Toyota 4runner

Everyone has different opinions and experiences. Either one could be a good choice but in the end go drive them and figure out which one you actually like better with regard to driving, highway, interior, cargo, etc.

    Bear proofing?

Lifestyle Overland mentioned this in a video. Sometimes they would cook / have dinner in one location and move to a different one to sleep in bear country. Unclear how often they did this but they traveled through Alaska and BC sleeping on top of their kitchen. Finally, don’t think there is a...

Which will suit me better: 4Runner or Tacoma?

Remember, if you plan to sleep in your rig then most likely you’ll need to put some stuff outside. This will not be the case if you do a taco + wedge top of some kind.

Does anyone have decent temperatures in their area?

If you can make it out to Lake Tahoe or Tahoe National Forest it is gorgeous. We are in town visiting friends this weekend and happy to escape the 98+ temps in Utah. Sun is a little intense given the elevation but the breeze and the water make it quite nice!

Where did you install your OB emblem?

Well it took me almost a year and a couple vehicle changes but I think I’ve finally settled on badge placement. (I have been known to over think on the rare occasion  ) On the tailgate on the truck: OB Emblem Taco On the passenger side on the Jeep, wasn’t sure how to deal with...

How to pass the time on longer drives

I like to rotate through podcasts, silence, little music, and conversation (if I have a companion). A couple hours of one and then switch it up tends to keep me engaged. The type of drive matters too. Lots of scenery I’ll tend to go with silence and my thoughts.

    Planning a trip to Moab

Just checking in, my wife and I driving out for the weekend later this month. Thanks for the awesome info everyone! Been living in Utah for over a year now and this will be our first Moab trip. Can’t believe it has taken us this long! Too much work and not enough adventure. :pensive:

    What boots do members wear

I wear Danner Mountain Lights on the trail and an old pair New Balance high top hikers that wear for driving and just messing around camp. How are those working out for you? They seem interesting.

    Toyota Tacoma Registry

New member of the taco family! 2019 DCSB OR. I’ve already a Vagabond Drifter on order so I’ll keep it mostly stock while I besides maybe a set of sliders. I’ll figure out the suspension closer to Drifter install time. A8DBA1F2-B98F-43E3-9D34-6A0933487E50 by Zachary Segraves, on Flickr
