Until now my wife and I have used cell phones, maps, and books to do all of our overland outings. When we were out of cell coverage we just dealt with it. We are now expanding our horizons past the "trail book" destinations. So we need more tools. We are looking at the Garmin Mini and running...
ALL of my Overlanding plans are NOW centered around pulling the Jeep in the garage and going through it nose to tail. Gonna cleanup wiring, reorganized my supplies, check dates on things (medical items), learn my ham radio better, build a storage/drawer/fridge slide in the back. IF Gobi gets my...

You said: I do not want to carry water on the roof rack (for what should be obvious reasons)

What Size RAM X do I need for the Yaesu FTM-400XDR/DE screen ? I will be attaching it to my Vector Bar but I do not which size to buy. Anyone running this radio? What is your mounting system like?

35" Nitto Trail Grapplers 3.5" AEV lift...the tires are because of the needed protection here in the rocky desert areas...these are just the most reliable here in my experience.
Here in Arizona we don't have an "off season" really, BUT I do not do any planned wrenching on the Jeep during the summer. 100-121 degrees from june to September...brutal. When it is hot here we do our Overlanding in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Cali and on up the west coast.
