After owning my current Jeep Wrangler for a year and a half - today I found my first duck that someone put on my Jeep. Turns out someone thinks my rig is cool besides me haha!
Drove all the way up El Cariso trail in Lake Elsinore California with my father-in-law today, moderate difficulty (in my non-expert opinion), fun and challenging, and great to see how my rig and new tires performed. Worth checking out if you’re in the Inland Empire. Sorry, didn’t record the trail!
Taking our first road trip in my ‘07 Jeep JKU (only owned it a few months now) and installed a rear seat recline kit yesterday. Hoping it makes the drive more comfortable in the back for my daughter and our dogs, and hoping the rig does well on our first extended drive. Merry Christmas everyone!
Sold my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon this morning! Had already bought a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X before selling my Rubicon as we just needed more space that the 4 door provides - but now I need to upgrade a few things to get it adventure ready. Looking forward to doing new things in this rig!
Just dropped my rig off at Top Shop Auto in Walnut Creek to get some needed repairs done so I can drive it confidently on the roads and back out on the trails. Goodbye death wobbles!
After getting my rig almost a year ago I finally took the hardtop off my JKR today for the first time - and I’m digging it! Bimini top coming in tomorrow to help provide a little sun protection.
For anyone in the East SF Bay Area who isn’t overlanding/out of town this weekend - I’d like to invite you to the Good Friday and Easter Celebration services at the church I pastor, Calvary Chapel Walnut Creek. More info on these gatherings can be found online… www.calvarywalnutcreek.org
I wanted a second opinion on work needing to be done to my rig and Frank/the crew at Top Shop got my rig in and checked out the next day. They showed me what they saw, advised me on what really needed replacing, and gave me a reasonable estimate. And first time meeting another Overland Bound member!
Dropped my rig (2010 Jeep JKR) off at Overland Motorsports in Martinez Ca today for them to install a Rough Country 3.5” suspension lift. I’m stoked to finally be able to lift it and can’t wait for it to be finished!
Got to attend the Metalcloak Skillz Day at Prairie City SVRA today! Big thanks to Metalcloak and all the staff and volunteers who put it on and made it happen and shared their knowledge and experience to help out new Jeepers. I learned some things and got to do some wheeling!
Took off my factory steps and installed my first real aftermarket part today - a pair of Barricade Rubi Rails (rock slider/step)! Stoked on how they look and on the added protection for when I go off-roading!
Just ordered my first real aftermarket part for my JK today - Barricade Rubi Rails (rock slider/step)! Looking forward to ditching the stock plastic Rubicon steps this next week and having some extra protection when hitting Knoxville OHV Park and Prairie City SVRA in October!
Went camping with my family this week in Gualala, CA. Beautiful Redwood-filled campground, perfect weather, river running alongside campground, ocean a mile away, time with friends who also camped in sites nearby, no cell service. Can’t wait to do it again!
