    Hit the road for a mini adventure to explore the South and South West of England. Glad to report the UK weather has not let us down, currently sheltered under the 270 awning out of the rain.

    Our goal was to end up in Henley for the Regatta.
    We did a preliminary tour a week before and figured that we were out of luck on the idea of Stealth camping and ended up securing a pitch just south of Oxford. We started by driving a bit south, then parking and bussing in to the Regatta.

    Each day we moved closer and closer until finally we found a private parking for 10 pounds for the entire day. We ended up just spending the night and getting out before the attendants showed up in the morning. How ironic that the most crowed city in the region presented us with some of the best stealth camping/parking.

    My question is this...... Is there free camping or parking on the S/SW part of the country?
    Have you done any overlanding in Ireland or Scotland and how would you compare it to England?
    We are looking to return and tour Scotland in the future, but this time I would like to prepare in advance.
