Born and raised in Southern California, I've been an avid seeker of excursion and adventure since I can remember. But as life dictates, some of us move away from those roots. As for me, my story starts by birth in Santa Monica and grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA. Always having a young, innate passion for the serene and deeper complexities of nature and life. Soon, photography and the science behind the engineering and design of such complexities became my driven mind. I began my working career young, fresh out of college, as a Ford Electrical Technician in Simi Valley, CA . Though, as things tend to do, that changed rather rapidly. And over time, I found myself releasing some of those things I had come to be, and sent myself back into the wild to search out what's next. As music had been a large part of my upbringing, I soon found myself working within the skin of the Hollywood nightlife community. Fast forward 10 years and find me living still in the heart of Hollywood, now managing bars, running nightlife and aspects of hospitality. Riding vintage motorcycles, working in fashion, all the nonsense. Though, those childhood roots of adventure and exploration came back to me mid way. I began solo backpacking trips across the Sierra's and such, as there were few/no people to find in my social circle that shared like interests. In 2017 I began to desire a vehicle that would out-perform my city car and motorcycle. Something that enable me to go farther and deeper into the wild than I'd ever gone. In the early months of 2018, while casually looking, I found a 1991 Toyota 4runner 4x4 for sale. I went and checked it out, and nabbed it for cheap. This became the world of overlanding I'm now deeply a part of. After several trial runs into the Sierra's and Los Padres, I began to trust the 240,000 miles that this 3.0 had on it already. So I built it up. I built this truck for an epic adventure. An adventure of my lifetime. Of 5000 people's lifetimes. I built it to take me to Alaska. In Sept of 2018, I left the apartment in Hollywood if lived in for 10 years, left my high salary nighlife management position in downtown LA, and I left LA to head North. To the land of the wild. The land of beauty and discovery. To The Last Frontier. All this while keeping my passion for photography close aside me. My trip lasted 40 days and 40 nights, 10,000+ miles, 10 US States, British Columbia, Yukon, etc. It was life changing, to say the least, and I cannot ever go back to the life of the mundane. For life's circles and redundancy are found in those without passion and without hopes, full of fear of change and movement. But choosing to leave those faulty pieces behind, I decided to move forward, going boldy into the unknown. Call it what you will. To each, we represent our own experiences. And to each own, we cannot comprehend all else's experiences and fates. Those by such, are are for our own.
