    OB Watches

Came from the Suunto non smart watch world as you can see further back in the forum and GShocks. But after getting my Garmin Fénix 6X Pro I sold all of those! Recently sold the 6X Pro for a 7X Pro and absolutely love the functionality! The sensor update from the 6X is quite a noticeable upgrade.

    Ohio Roll-Call!

It has been a while (maybe since 2016 or 2017) you helped me with an oil change in your driveway since the apartment I was in back then didn't allow oil changes. Do you still have your Audi as well? My wife and I just moved to Colorado about a year and a half ago and finally upgraded to a...

    Overlanding with bears?

Yeah, I do not ever see switching back to putting food in the tent. Definitely not worth the risk of a late night wake up call to a bear trying to snuggle up with you.

    Overlanding with bears?

I don't know about training. But you can get some training spray to practice with. Cabela's is a big outdoor store for hunting in the states. Unsure about Canada. Here is a link for the inert spray: Frontiersman Practice Bear Spray | Cabela's (cabelas.com) This spray is one time use so ensure...

    Overlanding with bears?

Hiking, backpacking, and car camping in bear country for quite a few years now. The reason bears, and what I should say is these are specific bears, get and break into cars is they have had human food before. They smell it and yearn for it! They will do anything they can to get to that scent...

Just started, got the car, a little money, and a lot of ideas

Less is more! Keep it as stock as possible and upgrade as necessary. Also keep in mind GVWR and axle load limits if you do start upgrading. Everything you add over the GVWR limit makes the car handle worse, brake worse (UNSAFE) and reliability goes out the window. Be intentional and you will...

Another Old Account and Deciding To Return

Yes we do! My wife and I have two backpacking trips coming up in September, but definitely would like to hit up some trails near the front range and just get a day trip out! But if the stars align a full weekend of fun would be good too.

Another Old Account and Deciding To Return

Wow! Thank you for the write up on all the stuff available these days. When I first started on this platform in 2016 it was in its infancy. Amazing how far this group has come!

Last minute trip to Telluride, Silverton and Ouray area... running some high trials!

Colorado’s Black Bear Pass remains closed after “ass clown” drivers got stuck, sheriff says (msn.com) Please stay off of Black Bear Pass and check with the local county to ensure the trail you plan on taking is open. The Sheriff has had it up to his eyeballs with what he refers to as "a$$ clowns".

Last minute trip to Telluride, Silverton and Ouray area... running some high trials!

Try and head over to San Juan Mountain Guides in Ouray ( Canyoning/Canyoneering in Ouray, Colorado - San Juan Mountain Guides (mtnguide.net) ) and rent some via ferrata gear. (or just go with them on a guided trip) We did the Downstream last year and want to do the double and hit up the Upstream...

Another Old Account and Deciding To Return

Yeah for sure! I first purchased it in Ohio and it did us very well for those three years. Snow it kicked butt in, rain... no problems, dry... no brainer, dirt and gravel didn't even notice. Maintenance was very easy and intuitive to do yourself and simple to troubleshoot if anything did go...
