One must travel the paved road to travel the gravel road. So yes in my opinion, traveling over pavement would be considered over landing. I always thought the point was to throw your gear in your truck, SUV or all wheel drive, get away with friends and have a good time doing it.
Getting ready for leg 2 of Route 66. The wife and will be jumping into the truck in May and heading to Chain of Rocks. The plan is to make it to Oklahoma in the 2 weeks that I have off.
The Wife and I are finishing up the first leg of a bucket list - Route 66. This will be a state by state trip for us I’ve many years. We just got done with Illinois, took a week to enjoy the sites and country roads. Along the way I found a truck that I would’ve loved to bring home.
Haven’t been out in awhile. Love to winter camp even though I hate the cold. Enjoy sleeping in a hammock more than a tent. It’s amazing how a couple of zero degree quilts can keep you warm in single digit temps.
