Originally from Mason, NH now residing in Lillington, NC. Retired Us Army Active duty. Work for Fluor Government Group Bagram Afghanistan contracting. Married 4 Kids 1 Boy 3 Girls, 3 Grandkids.
I'm new at Overlanding and in the middle of building out my vehicle to spend some guy time with my best friend growing up on the Trans American Trail (TAT) this spring 2019. I enjoy Firearms & Range Shooting, Gunsmithing, Camping, Fishing, Hiking .. when my old bones allow me too. I enjoy Darts, Football, Survival preparedness, Horses and hanging out with the dogs. I like Country Music & Old Heavy Metal Bands from the 80's. I was inspired by Michaels story which is similar to mine. My elementary school consisted of 52 Kids in an old converted brick church with an actual manual ringing bell. My Mid School was a little bigger not much, my high school served kids from grade 7 through grade 12. The school served 3 different neighboring towns, still less than 500 kids & staff in the entire school. My graduating class was 23 kids. Growing up in NH was pretty awesome! Surrounded by woods, ponds, lakes, quarries, streams, brooks, mountains and wildlife. My playground was the wilderness and it was my life until I enlisted in the military.
After serving 23 years and like Mike getting married, divorced then remarried with 4 kids and being deployed to Iraq a few times I slipped away from my roots. Now that I am older all I want in life is calmness, conversation, good people to spend time with and to enjoy nature which I miss sooooo... much!
