When I been doing a lot of searching on here for anyone with a 70 series Troopy (troop carrier) with no luck.
So I thought I’d start this one, hopefully in the right place .
As I’m very proud and lucky to have secured one of the very last new available in New Zealand Land Cruiser 78 Troop...
Update
I have sold my Ultra Micro Overlander to a local Suzuki dealership.
She is now sitting and waiting for a new owner.
I have been very lucky to secure one of the very last new Toyota 78 series Land Cruiser Troop Carrier’s available in New Zealand.
I pick her up this Friday and serious...
We may get a few Japanese vehicles that you do not get overseas, but we don’t get many of the American vehicles they’ve been made of the years.
Also things like Jeeps in New Zealand and OZ have an extremely bad reputation for liability and extremely expensive to run because the parts of 2 to 3...
So I have a brand new Land Cruiser 78 (70 series) Troop Carrier “Troopy” to pick up from my local Toyota dealership in the first two weeks of January 2024.
Yes I’m extremely excited and lucky that we can still get Toyota 70 series land cruisers in New Zealand.

July Update on project ultra micro overlander
My Ultra Micro Overland project is at long long last taking shape.
This is my first test off my storage/sleeping system.
The front section that covers the front passenger seat is very easily removed in under 40 seconds.
The rear opening lid is to...
Well the best Overland 4x4 vehicle is a new Toyota Land Cruiser 76 or 78.

Fit my hinged top (half of bed base) and open up the top to allow the storage of soft bags.
Run into...

I’m planning to have magnetic insect guards to stick on the outside when parked up on the front and back windows .
I totally agree that my young zippy is very cute looking, but unfortunately he knows it.
As a 10 month old is still playing up .
I’m just looking...
Yes, I’m unable to work because of a severe traumatic brain injury (from an accident in late 2017)
So being an ex motorcycle engineer/mechanic I have set myself up with TIG welding machine and table.
In the future I plan to start making a few Dog Gates and Men’s Shelves (when my Brain Injury...

The steel tubing design is lighter...
Downunder we wonder how with the Super Sized 4x4’s anyone can find a offroad trail big enough to drive?
Having driven ex-army 4x4 Trucks in the past I love offroad adventures in one of the few remaining solid axle 4x4 available in the world.
I love that you also drive a small adventure vehicle.
Back in the late 1980’s I discovered when driving my 1972 VW Kombi I had to slow down and slowly drive through river crossing!
After crossing a river and my windscreen steamed up!
