While I've done my share of serious rock crawling in built Jeeps, as an Overlander I now enjoy more of the camping and mild 4wd action.

My rig is basically a stock one owner 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. I sleep inside with the mid-gate down and really enjoy this configuration. If the wife comes along I have an adventure trailer for the extra gear. The trailer is a military 1966 Cable Splicing trailer. It has 240w of solar. On the truck I usually have a good bit of amateur radio gear including the ability to send emails and text messages without the use of cell phones or satellite. I may also have 120w solar on the truck along with a cheapo awning.
