We made it from Liberal KS to Trinidad in one day. Left at predawn and arrived early afternoon.

Wait for it! Arkansas has a lot of dirt roads and OK is I’d guess 90% dirt. From there on, very little in the way of paved roads.

Apparently, the road is closed due to a major washout.

Might be the fuel. They use an 85 octane there in corn world. They call it regular.

Those HF mini trailers are cool. I used one to make a trailer to pull behind our Honda Goldwing. The frame and axle was narrower by 16” and used a Sear cargo carrier. In this picture, we were leaving our house in Mobile, Al for Utah.

The pipeline in the SE that carries gasoline. It was hacked causing a disruption to the supply and hoarding. I’ve seen pictures of people pumping gas into clear plastic garbage bags and carrying them in the back of their car!

This is a legit closed road. Check the website for Ozark NF. The road was wiped out by a landslide.

Someone will take care of that tree. We were in the easy part. When you start going downhill is when the fun starts.

I took a short video up to the first section of water.

We bailed on Warloop Rd. We got down to a point where the road was flooded and we didn’t think it was worth the risk. There was about 100’ of water completely across the road and we couldn’t see what was beyond that.
