Head gasket blown! During trip, no overheating. Putting gas and decided not to run correctly had to tow back. So now no trips until get it running again

Lost my brakes going downhill to borrego springs. I heard is a good idea to swap to tundra brakes and rotors. I have a 3 generation 4 runner, any advise?
