I'm planning on upgrading our tent for 4 season weather myself. My plan is a Sibley Bell tent since we're big fans of lots of walk around room and quick set up. I had planned on a woodburner but have been looking at the Webasto diesel fired heaters lately. Chicom knockoffs on Ebay for 2-300. The...
Tons of places you can go with a 2wd. A locker would certainly help but its not so much the lack of 4wd as it is the lack of low range that will kill you on tougher tracks. Still, there's really not many trails in the Midwest that you couldn't do.

They come in handy for checking water crossings.
The kids have a blast exploring and I really believe that the things they learn will serve them in good stead throughout their lives.
Love the old Dodge trucks. Currently have 2. A 73 W100 with 360/NP435/NP205 I've been working on. Also a 78 W200 Crewcab that was a military truck then Fire Department. A lot of these old Dodges have issues with the wiring so bypassing the ammeter is the first thing I do. The wiring on the fire...
Pipeline is your best bet for offroading in WI. Not my video but gives a pretty good idea of the terrain. Lots of soft sand and mud, rocky hill climb and afew off camber areas.
I used the directions here to find it. http://www.myxj.net/blog/the-pipeline/
I've found afew other fun trails in...
