In order to help you better, I am curious on what you are looking to do on the trip. The terrain can vary dramatically and when you are coming opens it to most the areas temp wise.

I know this is an old thread but wanted to add one item of caution.
If you are on a logging trail or just a heavy forest area, logging semis will NOT stop or slow down when coming off a hill. Keep an eye out a ways down the trail for them or the dust plume and be very ready to get to the far...
Thanks for posting real world info on these tents, they are on our short list for purchase. Like the idea of the hard shell for transportation (living in Arizona the UV rays are brutal). Getting feedback does help with deciding if the extra cost is worth it in the long run.
