Heading out towards Alstrom Point this morning. Hoping to find an awesome campsite.

Currently in Grand Junction, CO on our way to Capitol Reef visitor center then down into Capitol Reef and working our way in Grand Staircase Escalante.

We're definitely down with that if we happen to run across each other.

I've read in some other places that recommended Fruita. I'm not sure if the timing will work out since we'll be leaving from Grand Junction around 8am so we'll get to the Capital Reef Visitor Center around 11 or noon. But we could possibly hit it up on the way back. We'll have to get the rest...

There are several different campgrounds within Halsey. Dispersed camping is free but have to be within 300 ft of a road. The Bessey Recreation Complex consists of 3 camping loops (Hardwood, Cedar, and River) and a group campground. Natick Campground has no electric hookups, 20 horse corrals...

I'll talk with the wife but we should be up for that. You thinking Halsey maybe?
