Avid outdoorsman. Hiking, camping, bushcraft, solo canoe tripping BWCA and Canada... Other hobbies include UAV flying (FAA Licensed UAV Pilot), reading, history, star gazer, wind listener, dog friend, etc...

Oddly enough I never really like 'car camping' much at all. A few years ago I discovered 'overlanding': vehicle supported exploration and adventure, and got hooked.

These days I don't mind camping out of my vehicle, the more primitive and remote the better, but of course that is not always an option.

My wife wants us to quit our day jobs and start overlanding full time... I'm too much of a chicken to do it. I would need to ensure we have at least some sort of an income coming in to the sum of $2000-$2500 before I could do it. Who knows... maybe it will happen someday.
