2013 F-150 slow build "Mr. Igloo"

Good start. I had the same truck (except in blue), and loved it for the time we had it. Especially that 3.5 twin turbo. Had to sell it to handle some other debts. I pulled a travel trailer from West Virginia to Cincinnati with it and it handled towing duties like a champ (mpg sucked of course...

Just picked one up four days ago to use for food and water during some field sampling work based on all the positive feedback here.

    New Member - Greenville, SC

I know that bridge and campsite. One of my favorites. I moved just south of Greenville a couple years ago. There's a local Facebook-based group that's gaining some traction and popularity. They have an outing/trail ride/camping trip at least once a month. Let me know if you'd like the...

Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton trip planning

Following. Departing South Carolina in roughly the same time period for a camping/fishing trip with Army buddies. Mostly sticking to GTNP, Absoraka Range, Wind River Range, and Big Horns due to one guys limitations on vacation hours and attempting to make the most out of the trip. Time (and fuel...

    “Oldman Tan” 1st Gen Sequoia

I love this build. I wish I could have found a 4WD 1st gen Sequoia when I was looking over the summer. After going back and forth a few times with a pre-owned 4Runner and a GX 460, ended up with a new 4Runner. But there is something about that 4.7L....

US Rocky Mountain Uintas, Ashley NF, Flaming Gorge, Bridger-Teton NF, Wind River Basin in May

@Boort What about fishing/dispersed camping between Dubois and the Tetons? I spent a few weeks doing a geology mapping project based out of Dubois back in 2007. My memory is a little hazy.

US Rocky Mountain Uintas, Ashley NF, Flaming Gorge, Bridger-Teton NF, Wind River Basin in May

@Wyotroutguy that's kind of what I figured. Since we're only spending two days in the area, I didn't expect a lot of access to remote areas. As long as we can find some dispersed camping in the northeastern parts of Ashley NF or near Flaming Gorge, I'll be happy. I've already ID'd a few...

US Rocky Mountain Uintas, Ashley NF, Flaming Gorge, Bridger-Teton NF, Wind River Basin in May

So, I'm planning a camping/fishing trip with my brothers (one lives in Wisconsin, the other in Rapid City, SD) for the spring. One definitely wants to hit the trout spawning runs in Flaming Gorge in May. The other is down for whatever. Me, I want to camp in the some places with tremendous views...

    US Southeast Smokeys/Cherokee NF

Sounds like fun. If I didn't already have a trip to UT/WY/MT/SD planned in May, I would consider joining you. The only time I Spent in/near Cherokee was driving along the Cherohala Skyway on my way to a drilling job at the TVA Appalachia Dam back in 2012. Absolutely beautiful area.

    4runner SR5 vs Off road trail ?

Either way, OP, you can't go wrong with either. A SR5 with ATRAC will get you out of most situations, a TRD Off Road with read locking differential and crawl control will get you out of a few more. It all depends on what you intended uses are. An SR5 is incredibly capable out of the box...
