Excellent platform and good luck with the build. I’ve been looking for an old square body ‘burb as well.
What kind/brand of 4” suspension would you put on her?
Interesting… 2016 Silverado 1500 ltz. I Have had a good experience with my E range 315 75 r17 KO2’s so far at 40k miles. Air up to 60psi (65 is the upper limit) for road trips and city driving. Air down when off road. Rotate them regularly… every few thousand miles.
Isn’t this the truth. One major complaint I have is how poor the selection of bumpers is for GM 1500/2500 trucks. I look at companies like CBI that makes beautiful bumpers for Toyotas and really wish we had some options like that for our bigger trucks. (End rant, but let me know if I’m...
Yes sir, I agree. Decent price point and much flexibility with the softopper. Thanks for sharing.
I guess my hangup is still, to some degree, security. For the first time in my life, had my truck broke into and tossed (nothing of value inside) and the idea of a softie just doesn’t quench...

If you’re towing that trailer a lot, will you go with sumo springs or something Similar to assist with the weight?
Fwiw, I put a Deaver J1 mini...
Good question. Some of the best I have found are here: Chevy Silverado rock slider: Chevrolet Silverado Step kit slider... TRUE Rock Sliders! I like them because they are frame mounted sliders & steps. Per recent emails with them, lead time was 6-8weeks and climbing. Not a lot of fully...
Good question. I’ll be trying to stuff a full size 305 into the factory spare location but will move it if I can find a way to get an aux fuel cell in that location. Then the full size spare will go on the bumper of a yet to be purchased or built bumper.
I'll forever quote you on this term: "Broverlander". :sunglasses:
I'd even argue that form with a bumper that impedes approach angle so much, as is typical with these full size winch bumpers, do not even function that well!
