Plates and bowls, let's overthink this together

I’ve used the MSR stainless steel bowls and enamelware plates from Best Made Co., no complaints about either

    Sedona AZ trip

A great time of year to be in the Sedona area, but expect crowds pretty much on any trail in the area, especially a lot of jeep and SxS rentals. Double check with Coconino Natl Forest, as most of the area and trails are limited to designated camp spots only now, sadly. I marked the one spot in...

    Wood or Propane fire pit

I appreciate how small it packs down and the ability of using both wood and propane. I liked the Howl firepit until I saw that it was $1300

Best Overland Rig for a Beginner?

I’ll respond with some of the same sentiment as posted above Affordable is relative, but an older generation Toyota would likely fit the bill. The most important part aside from that is having 4WD and being reliable, it can be largely a battle of brand support after that. Jeep and Toyota do...

    Claiming Dispersed Campsites

Camp furniture like chairs and a table setup are usually a well accepted way of showing a spot is being used. For ground tent folks like myself having you tent up is a dead giveaway, and I’ve never had concern that any of my items set up would be subject to theft. Site location is key, people...

Let's see those full size rigs - Trucks & SUV

My very new ‘25 Tundra SR5. I’ve changed out the tires since this but still stock for now, it’ll be a long process of slowly building

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Added 275/70/18’s to replace the stock tires that came with the Tundra

Which comms to stay in touch w/ home

On a recent 4 day backpack hunt with zero service I used the new iPhone feature of sending text messages via satellite with great success. It’s a feature that doesn’t constantly run but a valid backup for those with the iPhone and iOS capabilities to support it

    Arizona Camping Suggestions

The section of the Seven Springs Rd closest to the valley is a heavy target shooting area as is most of the Table Mesa Rd. Lots of safe backdrops to shoot at but accidents still happen ‍
