At least where I live, satelite imagery is extremely helpful. It can save you a ton of time going down dead ends that lead to nothing. Be aware that sat imagery is a double edged sword, as it can be exceptionally useful in identifying tracks and potential camp sites, but depending on the age of...
I love the under deck storage on that thing, but I gotta say, Honda really missed a golden opportunity by not making that deck into a folding table like the legendary RD1 CR-V table. Looks like your rig is doing very well from the video with the Wagoneer.
This is an awesome idea and I'm thinking of doing something similar myself. I saw someone use a folding plastic bench for this purpose somewhere before, and in looking for that post, I found this one.

I built a reinforcing brace from aluminum angle and flat bar and bolted it all in, adding some JB weld to the cracked uprights just for good measure. Absolutely zero side to side movement now:
My summer season had a rather rough start. I went out for an overnight camp out on the crown land not far from home and found much to my dismay, that my tent was very wet inside and my mattress was soaked. I was extremely baffled by this, as I've had it out in heavy rains even while deployed...
