The couple of trips I have taken have been with other vehicles. Currently I have a 2.5 inch lift on 33s. I have a front bumper and a winch. I am looking at doing the new gearing. A friend suggested 4.88 or better. And an extended range fuel tank. The 13 gallons just isn't enough.
I took my first real overland trip this weekend. Was able to cover about 150 miles in the snow packed northern woods of Maine. It was an amazing trip besides blowing the brake lines in my little baby TJ. Has anyone had similar experiences?
I appreciate the information. I looked at the list of roads. A handful of the ones we are traveling are plowed. Some are not. And I will definitely take a look at the blog. All information is welcomed.
I will upload a picture later.
I am currently station in New England and enjoy running through Maine and New Hampshire.
Recently got into Overlanding but have a lot of off road experience.
Currently drive a 1997 Wrangler TJ with a 3 inch lift.
I am a total noob when it comes to overlanding...
