My son and I went Sunday and had a cookout on the way up the Backside of Daniel. Beautiful day to be on the trail! I hope you guys didn’t get hit by the rain too hard Sunday night.

Wow! That’s a really long weekend. I will have to see what my work schedule is, but sounds awesome!

It wasn’t very good, but I didn’t listen to the radio much.

Perhaps test the radio in a different vehicle? If it doesn’t make the noise it’s not an issue with the radio.

We started with a hand held and I could not hear it over vehicle and road noise. Moving to the mobile unit had better sound quality and a louder speaker.

My son and I had a good time dispersed camping last weekend at Uwharrie NF. Steaks over the fire, mac & cheese and veggies on the stove, cookies in the Dutch oven. Pancakes and leftover cookies for breakfast.

I thought they went over the ratchet in use to keep the tail from whipping in the wind. I have a bin in my work truck with different length straps. I just tie an overhand knot in them and toss them in. No tangles!

I’m looking to buy a second cup to fit my Zip stove. If you have a Zip or Flash and the stove stopped working, I’d be interested in purchasing the cup.
