16 years camping Alaska, Canada, western US, Baja with a 2002 Duramax and a Bigfoot truckcamper and later 21 ft Bigfoot trailer.
Biggest mistake: Five years ago sold my 1996 LX450 with 112,000 miles, original owner.
I have recently sold truck and trailer, purchased a 200 series landcruiser (2017)with 39,000 miles. Painfully more expensive but worth it. Plans are to ground tent camp while I learn the off-road capabilities of this LC. Moab Jeep Week, Cruise Moab and hopefully Overland Expo West are on the schedule.
