Hey @DanishJeeper. Do you have the wind-deflector installed? It is comprised of two small winged pieces of metal that sit under the front crossbar of the rack and prevent wind from vibrating the slats which is typically the cause of the "BRRRRRRRRRRRR" sound :grinning:
I love to wave to people when I'm out on the trail. I am in a Subaru so I only get waves back from vehicles that can still see me in their line of sight :tearsofjoy:
@4x3Lander Dude that thing is awesome for a DIY rack! I work at Front Runner and have seen some pretty crazy contraptions people can come up with and this is easily amongst the most clean and secure looking. Nice job! The fairing looks perfect on it!

I think it boils down to what you want to use the vehicle for. I personally have a Subaru Outback. It gets me to all the places I've wanted to go (thus far) and has even suprised me in some pretty gnarly situations (I don't just wheel fire roads). As many state the Subaru is great for many...
@Cascadia Love your build! Currently working on and loving my 2017. I also sleep in my vehicle but have constructed a carpeted sleeping platform with slide out drawers underneath for storage. Seeing your setup I'm a bit envious of the headroom you have!
Don't have as many suspension upgrades...
@aggie6801 Thanks! So far I love the Black Rhinos -super light which helps compensate for my larger tires a bit. Only downside is they are a bit tough to clean fully but not a huge concern because my car is dusty a lot. Capable vehicle for what it is - always seems to surprise me to this day...
